LPG stands for liquid petroleum gas and you will know if you have this as there will be a small or big gas tank in your garden. The boiler inside your house will look like a common gas boiler with a flue coming out of an exterior wall or out of the roof.
This fuel type is one of the more expensive fuels to run on but the install cost is one of the lowest.

Understanding your current LPG boiler system
Gas or natural gas is the most common fuel supply for boilers across the UK. Your property will have a gas meter normally located at the entrance of your property or it can be located not far from your electric meter.
LPG or Liquid Protelam Gas is commonly found in caravan parks or country houses you will have either a large tank that has to be refilled or 2 red tanks which you will have to replace.
There are 3 LPG boiler systems:
LPG Combi – An LPG combi system is the most popular boiler system and is just a boiler on the wall which does both your central heating and heats your hot water.
LPG Conventional – An LPG conventional boiler system is a boiler accompanied by a water cylinder, along with header tanks which will be found in a loft space.
LPG System – An LPG system boiler is a pressurised boiler which is accompanied by a pressurised cylinder which is commonly found in an airing cupboard or your garage.
But you can change each system to an alternative system for example: Combi to a Conventional
This includes en-suites and showers. This is for us to work out what kw your boiler will need to be to fulfil your needs. Most 1-2 bathroom houses or flats will be better suited with a 30kw boiler whereas more and more bathrooms means more and more power needed.
This flue comes out of the top of the boiler and it disperses the emissions from the gas burning. The reason for this question is that we need to know how many extensions your flue will need and what type of flue you will need. This is vital because different types of flues cost different amounts of money.
We need to ask this question so we can give you advice on if LPG is the right option for you. The installation cost of an LPG boiler is pretty much the same as the gas apart from you will have to either rent or purchase an LPG tank to store your fuel. If you haven’t got LPG installed then we will have to consider the installation of an LPG tank and a gas line to your boiler when quoting.

How much does a LPG boiler installation cost ?
Just like a natural gas boiler, it will depend on the size of your property and the number of bathrooms you have at the property will help you decide what size boiler you should have. If your home has 1 shower we would recommend a 28-30kw boiler, if you have 2 -3 showers we would recommend you look at a 40kw boiler. For anything larger, we suggest contacting a member of our team to discuss.

To have LPG you will need space in the garden, like oil, as a large tank is installed to feed your boiler and appliances.
LPG is dearer than oil and natural gas but has a much cheaper install cost than oil and is roughly the same as natural gas.
When thinking of LPG in your home you will need to think about the space to have an LPG tank in the garden and also being able to fill it up when it runs out. LPG boilers are a cheaper alternative in terms of installation compared to oil but the running cost is dearer.

We do not stock all LPG boilers so a 5 day wait would need to be allowed for an LPG installation. This is because LPG is not as common as other fuel types.
