Why are there different phase electric boilers?
Electric boilers also come in different types of phase, single and three phase. This is due to the different amounts of power needed. Single phase boilers are what most domestic houses can have as they only have one main incoming cable therefore have a limit on the power what you are able to have. If your house is in a commercial setting then you may have three phase electric incoming to your property and now have the scope for large powered electric boilers.

Most houses can have an electric boiler. Ideally they are better for small houses and flats but they do struggle in larger buildings or houses, unless we store water in a cylinder.
Electric boilers can be good in different ways. They can easily heat up a 2-3 bedroom house but struggle in any larger homes for instant hot water. The cost for running an electric boiler is generally much higher than all other fuels. A good thing about electric boilers is that they can fit in small cupboards mostly and can be nice and compact. Also there is no flue needed for an electric boiler as it produces no emissions on site so you won’t have a flue sticking out of your wall so we tend to install them in high rise apartments and other uncommon locations as you have much more variety of where to put the boiler.
As electric boilers are slightly less powerful than your average gas boiler, it may need an additional water tank which will ensure the supply of hot water as it is preheated. This can cost a lot of money though. If an electric boiler is in a flat or small house then a combi would be much more suited as you wont need pre heated water.
We do not stock electric boilers as it is not a common boiler type to be asked for so a 2-7 day wait will need to be allowed.
